As part of Find Your Folks @ Jalan Besar, we invited the community to join in a playful drop-in activity inspired by district’s iconic streetscapes. Together, these individual creations formed a large-scale community art installation — a paper shophouse “neighbourhood” that celebrated creativity, culture, and togetherness. What started as simple templates quickly grew into a vibrant streetscape built by many different hands.

We love moments like these, where workshops and drop-ins go beyond individual art-making and become a shared experience. The Colourful Shophouse installation reminded us that community art isn’t just about the final piece, but also about the joy of creating it together.
