Join artist Malik Mazlan in discovering the art of batik ink rubbing. In this workshop, participants will explore traditional batik motifs and learn the technique of making ink rubbings on paper using Chinese ink rubbing methods.

About the Artist:

Malik Mazlan is a Singaporean Malay calligrapher whose interest in Chinese calligraphy has brought him throughout Asia from Tokyo to Beijing.

As a young Chinese calligrapher, it had always been an aspiration for him to use the skills and insights he had obtained from Chinese calligraphy and arts to reflect a multicultural society.
