Summer Playground at Enabling Village 2026
On 20 and 21 June, we joined Summer Playground at Enabling Village, a weekend of inclusive family-friendly programmes that brought together organisations, creatives, and communities through hands-on experiences and play.
Across the weekend, visitors explored a series of free walk-in activities, including collagraph printing, paper circuits, air dry clay making, shrink art, paracord weaving, and upcycled plushie making. Designed to be open-ended and accessible to all ages, each activity invited participants to experiment with different materials, discover new making techniques, and create something uniquely their own.
Alongside the workshops, we also introduced interactive stamp stations and a collaborative message display, where visitors could leave handwritten notes, drawings, and words of encouragement for others to discover. To make the display more accessible, it featured multiple hanging stations at varying heights, inviting people of different ages and abilities to take part. As the weekend unfolded, the display gradually filled with heartfelt messages, becoming a collective reflection of kindness, creativity, and community.
