PLAY! hosted an engaging cyanotype-making workshop at Road to Sunda 2024, a music festival held at the iconic Haw Par Villa. Participants delved into the art of cyanotype by first gathering natural elements like dead leaves and discarded items such as trash around the venue.
They then repurposed these materials into beautiful collages, arranging them on light-sensitive paper. Using sunlight to expose their designs and rinsing them to reveal stunning blue-and-white prints, festivalgoers transformed everyday objects into meaningful works of art.
Alongside this creative activity, attendees also enjoyed a selection of traditional Singaporean games. These included five stones, chapteh, pick up sticks, and marbles.
